Hello all,
I have my computer Setup to dual boot Windows NT WS 4 and Windows 95. Now here is my question. I use a PS2 Trackball but my children got some new computer games for Christmas and the trackball is two hard for them to use. It is possible to use both a PS2 trackball And a Serial Mouse on the same machine. For example to use the Trackball under NT and the mouse under Windows 95. Also the trackball is a logitech and the mouse is microsoft if that matters. thanks for all the help.

Never tried it or thought about trying it, but you can probably disable either the mouse or the trackball in the system bit in control panel, go into device manager and select the mosue, and choose to disable in the hardware profile.

Not sure if it will work or not but in theory it should.

Yes. I use a PS/2 ms mouse and a MicroSpeed serial trackball on com 1. Been this way over a year, no problem. Both are always active, just grab one & go. Works great!

I have 2 mice connected also. One on the ps/2 port & the other on the serial port. Work great together (although they fight for control of the cursor, hehe). Both are Logitech wheel mouses, one is cordless, one it not.

I connected them both just as an experiment to see if it'd work. I've ended up leaving both connected because I have a buddy that gets on my system almost on a daily basis and he's right-handed, I'm left-handed. So I got a mouse on either side of my keyboard. 8^)

Thanks again everyone. It is great to be able to have my questions answered so quickly and by such friendly people. I stumbled upon SysOpt by way of search engine and am happy I decided to take a look. The pooled knowledge of everyone here is a great tool for the newbie and seasoned puter geeks (no offense intented) alike. Again a HUGE thanks to all of you.
