I just got the IntellEye mouse (not the silver Explorer, the regular white version) and I can't get '98 to recognize that it's there. I have it hooked up right now using the PS/2 adapter, so it's working. Software installed fine, but machine doesn't want to recognize it at the USB port.

In related news, I have the USB/parallel adapter from Alps for my MD-1000, and I have to pull the USB cable out and re-insert it every time I power up the machine so that the computer will recognize the printer.

Logically, the problem is in my USB port/drivers/BIOS settings, but since these are my only 2 USB devices and neither is working properly, it's a bit of a challenge to troubleshoot.

Anyone wanna take a shot at this?

You may have an IRQ conflict as I once did. I had to change the IRQ for my USB devices in the BIOS of my Mainboard. You can try that or change them Manually in your Control Panel
