If I wanted to download a screensaver, when then download box comes up where should I send the darn thing?

Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : screensaver lamer quietinthecorner 12-27-1999, 01:27 PM If I wanted to download a screensaver, when then download box comes up where should I send the darn thing? commodsquad 12-27-1999, 01:50 PM Pretty much whatever folder where you want to archive it...most screensavers have and install program or an .inf file that you can right click and choose install and it will put the file in the correct place for it to be accessed and functional in the screensaver set up tab..when you unzip the file just read the read me file that should be included to find out if there are any special instructions and other info that may be of importance, If by chance there isnt a readme and just an inf file ( I have gotten a few of them like this) just do the right click and choose install. If it is just an .exe file run that...But by all means, make sure you run a virus scan on everything downloaded before you install it.....Hope that helps..... quietinthecorner 12-27-1999, 02:23 PM Thanks Commod!!!! After it is done D-loading I run Anti-Virus on the program. You will get a warning like "warning screen saver is a program..... bla, bla, bla". But after it's installed you won't need the downloaded part to make it work. Dave SysOpt.com
