Hi All

I get repeated random BSDs most of which allow a return to Windows running AOK.

They are either OE, OD or O6 @ 0028:xxxxxx in VXD VMM (01)

Recently I got one that would not return to Windows (Win98se) it went to anther BSD giving the same OE @0028 but VXD VKD (01) this one required a hard reset.

Just what is going wrong, as I said above I can mostly return to Win98 by pressing any key.
?

Have I got some bad RAM or it there a progressive problem with my mainboard an Aopen AX63Pro

Any thoughts and guidance most welcome.

Oh, it seems more common while surfing than running other progs.

Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your motherboard. Go to Aopen's site and check for the latest driver release. Even if you have the latest drivers, reinstall them.

VXD's are Virtural Device drivers

Perhaps your directory has been corrupted.

A shot in the dark here.

Re-boot into DOS

Type in->
Scanreg /fix
or
Scanreg /restore

If that don't do anything here's an excellent links page->

Scanreg /fix has saved me from doing reinstalls. Last time I had to do a reinstall was in Oct 2000. Usually my system would only last a month, due to bad program installs.
