MYsound just gave out

Yes i was listening to some music on my comp and it just suddenly stoped working and now i don't have anysound its a software conflict I think please help me.

Is it still plugged in?
CD end?
other sounds on system?

I recently had a sound card fail on me. I physically pulled it out of the computer and then reinstalled it. Surprisingly that fixed it for about a week, then it quit working again, this time for good. I had to replace it.
