i downloaded the driver and installed. problem solved thanks for all the help everyone.

How's it going,

If you have access to a modem, then try the CDrom manufactuer, and download the drivers from there.

Try searching for the model number using google.
WWW.google.com (http://WWW.google.com)

What O/S are you using and what type of drive is it. It is possible to install it in Dos with real mode drivers and then use the cdrom to load what drivers. Most windows O/S should have drivers to run the drive. Take alook at this link. It desribes how to load dos drivers in the first half and if it is a IDE drive you can download the cdrom start-up disk that will probably work. If you need more help repost and I will walk you thru it.

or do a search on ultimate boot disk. throw it on an a drive and let the comp load with that disk in. it will load drives write up
