I am getting page fault errors when I open any application related to networking. This includes merely opening control panel or even Windows Explorer and also Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator. Other applications such as Word Perfect cause no errors. There were no errors in safe mode. My cable internet connection failed so I had to move it to another computer where it is working fine. System properties (on the computer with the page fault errors) indicates that all devices are working and no conflicts. My guess is that this is a software or system thing. I have tried every possible tweak and I am thinking about clearing the hard drives and reloading Windows 98 SE. But maybe I should try to diagnose this first so that the problem doesn't creep back. I have a second hard drive connected to an ULTRADMA card. It has never given me any trouble in the past. Abit BH6 motherboard and celeron 333. Two NIC cards installed.

Does it give you a module at all? such as: Explorer caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.dll at <xxxx:xxxxxxxx> ?

in any case on this page starts a rather long database on page fault errors... hope it helps http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/psssearch.asp?FR=0&DU=C&SPR=&LPR=&D=win98x+or+winmil&LQ=win98+and+kbinvalidpagefault&VA=&T=B&KT=BOOLEAN&T1=&S=F&A=T&sh=0&SG=&PSL=&LNG=ENG&VR= http%3A%2F%2Fsupport%2Emicrosoft%2Ecom%2Fsupport&CAT=Support&VRL=ENG&CND=1&SA=GN&H=Windows+98+Invalid+Page+Fault+Articles
