Got a new keyboard for x-mas! I guess the wife was tired of hearing the old one at night. This thing is too quite.I miss all the noise!
Anyway it is a microsof internet keyboard and it has some cool buttons. Does anyone know of a way to change the sleep button or disable it? Their guide sucks. Tried what it said and does not work. Do I need to change somthing in power managment or remove it? I never use it anyway. If I do remove it(PM) Do I need the win98 disk? My son destroyed it!! If I send the broken disk to Microsoft do you think they will replace it for S&H. I don't. I had it copied on my drive but forgot about it when I installed Linux. If I have to pay for it again say goodbye to windows and hello Beos.

Well as I have mentioned before on other threads IF you registered your copy of Windows Microsoft will help you replace a lost or damaged disk http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif another way "around" your problem is to have someone make a you copy of their disk BUT you USE YOUR license and keycode (which means it has to be THE SAME VERSION..ie: standard for standard...Upgrade for upgrade..SE for SE as the keys are NOT interchangeable)

Thanks Mntsnow,I will just borrow one from a freind and copy it.It seems to be the easy way.At least I will not have to wait for it! I hope he has the same version.
As for the sleep shortcut on the keyboard I got it to work for a screensaver. Don't know how but I did it!
