Hi everyone. I hope you all are finally ready for Christmas. I just wanted to tell you about a little situation.

There’s this little girl in a town near us here in Tennessee. She, well let’s just say she’s real sick, and this may well be her last Christmas. This really put me and my situation in perspective. I was bummed that I couldn’t go back to work until after Christmas, and my last two or so paychecks before Christmas all of a sudden weren’t going to be there. Now, I know just how much worse things could have been.

So, I'm not writing thisto bumm you out, just to ask a favor. This little girl loves to get mail in general, and cards in particular (don’t we all?) So, I’m just asking you, if you have a free minute in the next day or so, could you send her a card. Even though it’ll be after Christmas, she’ll still get it, and it’ll still make her happy.

This isn’t some B.S. thing like you hear in e-mails about someone wanting to unite the world be having a million people send e-mails, just a sick little girl.

I have three kids myself, and I guess this just kinda hit home. Hard.

So, I hope you all have a really great, happy and healthy Christmas, this year and every year! And, don’t let this depress you, God has a plan, and for some reason, this is part of it. Just think of the smile your good wishes will put on Page’s face.

Thank you all so much.

Her address is:

Page Lane
4538 South Creek Road
Cookeville, TN 38506

Thanks again

Page is 4 years old... So young, huh?

Thanks everyone. I've gotten e-mail from some of you already, and I know she and her parents will appreciate it!

God bless you all for caring so much!

She'll be getting a card from 'Ms. Claus' too, grandslammer.

Slammer. This touched me too as my boy is almost 4. Both of my kids are going to send out a "late" card

Thanks ladies, this means a lot. This is a very cool thing you're doing. I knew I'd get some responce aboaut this, but I didn't quite realize just how cool the 'net people are. It's like "just look around and give the person beside you a hug," you know?

Very cool! I've got responces on posts and e-mail from here at sysopt, host club and anandtech.

Even if we know someone is leaving us, we can still show them that there is good in this world, and that we care about them, and will remember them. You all have done something very nice and I want to thank you myself, and for all the healthy kids out there...
