Blank boxes in Taskbar

Running win 98, when machine goes to sleep or screensaver I come back and there are numerous open blank boxes in my taskbar.

Any Ideas?

Its probably some poorly written code from the screensaver program.

Turn off the power management features in CMOS and in Windows. Are these the standard screen savers you are using?

Yes, using standard windows screensavers.

I have the same problem with my laptop running win98se. It's just the regular flying through space screensaver. I can't figure out what's causing it.

I have the same thing sometimes,I just
ignore it but if there is a fix I'd like
to Know.
