Has anyone heard of these new V.92 modems.. anyone using one as they read this... can someone fill me in? If you don't know what I'm talking bout I saw them on www.directron.com (http://www.directron.com) I think they are called Zoom modems... kinda pricey.. but still curious..

The most important factor to look at is wether or not your ISP uses v.92 modems. If they dont, these modems will default back to v.90 or whatever they use. Some larger corporations are beginning to switch over but I have a feeling it wont catch on anytime soon for the small mom and pop services. I heard there are a few v.90 modems that can be flashed to v.92. Could save a few $$.
