Okay, I posted earlier regarding Win2k getting a NTLDR error when I tried to use a hard drive set up for a different computer on mine.
Putting it in the regular IDE port worked, but not it starts loading and then gives me a BSOD with the INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE error. I've tried safe mode with the same result. Would the service pack fix this? Do I need to start the computer on the original machine, remove all the device drivers for the current hardware, set up the hardware profile as such, then try it at home?
Or am I simply screwed?

I deactivated the ATA-100 RAID controller, so I know that's not it.

I had the same problem: Had to install w2k on standard IDE, when I connected to the ATA100, inaccesible; if I hit <Enter>, it would boot. Did you load the drivers for the ATA100 bus in Windows before moving the cable? Set boot sequence in BIOS?

I havn't been able to get into Win2k to install the drivers.
I had it connected to regular IDE with the ATA100 adapter disabled so Win2k wouldn't even see it.
