Trying to change the IRQ for ethernet adapter or sound card (both on IRQ 9). In BIOS have entered PCI/PNP IRQ reserve exclusion. IRQ 9 reserved for legacy device no/ICU ...only IRQ with yes is 5...

Can I change "no/ICU" to "yes" ? Will this resolve the conflict for IRQ 9 ?

Yes setting ICU to Yes often solves most IRQ clash problems no matter what the OS is. Also u shud try and change the slot of the PCI card which might force the BIOS to assign a different intterupt to it.
