Black screen after install new video card

I just got my new Geforce2 MX200 32MB video card. I installed the latest driver that come with the card. Everything seems perfect after I restart the machine. However when i trying to play a 3D games. I start the game and i heard the sound, however the graphic is just not showing up(Black screen). I'm sure it is not the contract or brightness problem. I even try some other non-3D games like Caesar, It works flawlessly. Is there anything else that I missed in the installation step? My old card is ATI Expert 98 8MB and I have no problem using it. My motherboard is Biostar, System: AMD 900Mhz..Pls help !! Any suggestion or help is mostly appreciated. !!! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

what version of drivers are you using? Have you updated the vid card drivers (10.80's 11.01's work well with my MX card on AMD) Have you updated the VIA chipset drivers?

So, u mean the main problem I get a dark screen when playing in fullscreen is becox of the driver? Anyway, I'm using the driver that on the CD that come with the card. If not mistaken I think the version is 6.49 (The driver is in a folder with the name 6.49) . I thought the driver that come with the card have the latest driver? Anyway I can't find any website that I can link to fir the driver(look all over the box). So where is the place to download the latest driver for this card? Geforce2 MX200. What about the VIA chipset driver? Where to get the latest driver? How do I know if they release a latest driver?

You don't happen to be running WinME, are you?
I had the same problem while using WinME for my OS, but no problems using Win98 or Win98SE.
So I just have a WinME cd sitting here, I might just have to start making a trophy wall on non-useful cds.

One place that you can look for drivers for the graphics card is at www.guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com)
just look for the detonator drivers. Detonator driver 10.80 is a good one.
Might also check out these sites for the via drivers, I'm not quite sure which one will have it. www.3dchipset.com (http://www.3dchipset.com) www.3dfiles.com (http://www.3dfiles.com) www.tweak3d.net (http://www.tweak3d.net)

There are other sites out there, but I just don't remember them.

FYI...I'm not running WIN ME. I'm using some old version of WIN 98. I just get my Win 98 2nd Edition. However It didn't allow me to update to second edition becox I think my old version of Win98 doesn't support that. I really dunno what to do anymore!! http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif . Where to get the latest driver for my video card. Guess I will keep trying until someone come up with a better solution to me. PLS HELP !! Its been 5 days I can't play all my games except Caesar III. I'm started to get bored with it. Games that didn't work are like SWAT3, Rogue Spear, Starcrat Broodwar.
