From just freezing up, I have experienced my first total crash, blue screen and all. I reinstalled and was back up, but had to re-install all my applications! Doesn't seem very secure to me.

Tried to re-install my Digicom DL3635 using their W2k driver downloaded from Digicom site, but it caused another blue screen crash and now I am reinstalling W2k again. I had this modem installed and working fine for months. But now its drivers crash windows.
Dell GX110 PIII 7333, 256 RAM.

Please help.

Pete, you're scaring me! I'm just about to load W2000, and I thought that was the most stable out of all the sh~t that ms produced?

Trouble??? Justy!

the majority of posts ive seen is positive for windows 2000. i just wiped out ME in favor of 2000 and i really dig it so far. just installed 5 or 6 games and all ran no problem too. seems stable to me so far.

Have it back together. My experience with W2k has been good until last night, but in part, the problem was me. I had a Digicom PCI DI3635 modem in the slot and was installing the drivers i had downloaded from the Digicom site. However, the download included several drivers "for Windows 2000", but only one of them works. Used DSI D-F-V V.90 DI3635 WIN2K, v. 4.43.27.0 and now all works well. When you are loading the drivers from "disk", you are given two choices, Digocom or Digicom Systems. You have to choose the driver listed under Digicom Systems which is the one above. There was no readme file, so my first guess was wrong, but eventually I got it right. Only half a day down the drain.
