I am running Win98SE. I am getting an error on my VIA Tech 3038 PCI to USB Host Controller. In the device manager it tells me "The NTKERN.VXD device loader(s) for this device could not load the device driver." I have removed the drivers from the device manager list several times. Each time I restart my computer it loads the same drivers with the same error. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks, Bill

It sounds like one or more of the driver files are corrupted. You can uninstall & reinstall the driver, but it keeps loading the same corrupted file.
Unless someone has a better idea, you might want to rename the existing driver files (don't delete them until your absolutely sure you don't need them anymore), then reload them from your Windows installation disc. Go to device manager under driver details to find a list of the driver files in question. If you don't have a windows installation disk, or another computer you can copy them from, I could probably E-mail the files to you.
Another thing to try is the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers. That might help you out.

No luck so far. Any other suggestions?

Did you go into safe mode and remove the drivers from there?
