Napster question

I have been "banned" from napster because they "scanned" my hard disk & found some mp3's they did not think that I should have, either way, does anyone know how they ban users? I un-installed napster & loaded a newer version & signed up as a new user & was still banned (I removed ALL mp3's before installing). How do they know that I am who I am when trying to signup as a new user? I even tried several different ISP's. Surely I am not the only one that has gone through this.
