when ever i leave my pc idle for a few minutes and then try to do any thing on it my hard rive make a skiping sound, and then my pc goes bye bye...ive cheked for bad sectors but it dosent have any, ive even re patitioned it and reformated th drive and nothing, does any one have the same problem? my mainboard is a elpina m571

Do you have your HD shutting down after a few (in desktop propities > screen saver > settings) I have seen probs with the monitor being shut down here. Also some HD manuf. have disk check utility, have you check for that.

yes ive looked in to that and ive dissabled every thing that can shut down my drive, the weird thing is that when ever it goes bye bye and if i restart it with the reset button it will give me a "incorrect hdd, press f1 to continue", so to avoid that i have to shut the computer down from the power button and turn it back on, and then it will boot ok. wel for a while...need info http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif thanks.....
