What operating system are you using? If you have Win95b, Win98, or Win2K then you DO NOT need to use the EZ Drive utility to set up the hard drive. When you start FDISK, you must enable Large Drive Support for it to work.
Sterling,
I would love to rid myself of EZ Drive, but doesn't that entail reformatting? Or is there a way to transfer to FDISK w/out data loss?

I have a Sony Spressa 8/4/32 CDRW drive. I added a 30GB Western Digital HDD to my system. The HDD is now the secondary master, the CDROM is the secondary slave. The CDROM used to be the secdary master.
The new HDD works fine, but the when you try to read the CDROM in Windows(98), it freezes the system.
I have tried: Another CDROM, checking/unchecking DMA, reinstalling the CDROM drive, reinstalling windows, and Autoplay on/off.
Since another CD drive also doesn't work, it is not the CDROM itself. What to do??? Please help.
If it matters, I am using Western Digital EZDrive to setup the HDDs.
