I just purchased and installed a new mobo - a Gigabyte GA-6VX7-4X with a Pentium III 850 MHz CPU and 256 mgb of memory - in my computer. When I started the computer for the first time (and the second and the third, etc.!) I got the message, "A disk read error occurred. Press CTRL, ALT, DEL to restart." Of course, when I do that I end up with the same message again! I have re-checked all the connections and cables, and everything appears to be tight. I even went into the BIOS and changed the order of drive boot checking, and then tried to boot from the floppy, and then from the CD, but the error message always wins out!
Any suggestions????????
Thanks,
Steve
