Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : anybody check out the new bluetooth article?
I read the new atricle posted on the sysopt main page about the bluetooth system, and if that thing takes off, we are all in for a ride. To be able to just walk in a room with your laptop or cell phone and link up with any other peice of hardware in the room, and everything they are linked up to and everything they are linked up to, seems like something amazing and scary. And unless I misunderstood the article, it seems to me that the entire world would be networked together under one protocol system. But not just from the pc, but from any device that has one of these chips in it. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the net to become that intertwined in every day life. Talk about a global consiousness. If this goes off, like it looks like it will, the world is about to change drasticly, again. What do you guys think?

Not so quick.. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif
I read it. Heidi produced a very interesting article on this amazing technology - not all of which I understand yet - but it does seem to have alot of possibilities for wireless systems in the (near?) future. But I can see where there will be many questions too.
Do you think companies will really start implementing/pushing Bluetooth very soon? So much to learn!

Hmmm... Bluetooth = Radio Transmissions = FCC regulation.Uh oh...
That's one of the things I was thinking about. The airwaves are getting so complicated as it is with radio, tv, cellular, microwave, radar, and all of the shortwave out there, how much farther can we go before it is a complete mess? They want to start broadcasting tv and radio in digital format too. At what point do you reach saturation?
