I'm pretty sure that it has 256k L2.

Not a word about L2 cache, and from what I read somewhere, it indeed comes only with L1 cache. Only nowday's revision of the chip, based on Samuel 2 core, has 64 KB on-die L2 cache : http://www.digit-life.com/articles/viacyrix3/index.html

ND is correct, the original CyrixIII lacks an L2 cache. It features only a
"large" 128KB L1 cache. L2 is only available with the updated CyrixIII with the SamuelII core, and even then it is limited to 96KB.

The C3 is not exactly a "screaming" performer, but should surfice for most internet and desktop activities. I think I may order a couple for a few older VIA Pro133 boards I have. Maybe a cheap processor, but the boards are only collecting dust as it is. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
