in every benchmark I've run compared to my bx mobo I've seen a 10-25% drop in scores on my via apollo 133. original I was running a cel@550 on my cheapy(no fsb beyond 100mhz) bx mobo and now I'm running at 605 on my soyo 6vba and the memory is at 146mhz. even with a cpu increase of 55mhz and a 46mhz jump in memory bandwidth every benchmark has showed significantly slower scores. I've tested sandra, winbench, and 3dmark99. At first I thought it was something wrong with the benchmark programs but collectively all three have proven to me that the BX is better performer. Could it be that all these programs are designed specifically for the bx chipset. It doesn't seem like it to me. but I may be ill informed. thx

I've seen that same comment in at least one professional review of a via chipset board. There was also a hope that a bios update later on may fix that. The one I read seemed to think it was a firmware/hardware problem.

Im intrested in how significant these drops are. I am aware that is isnt as good, but Since Im kind of a SY-6VBA pusher, I dont want to recommend anything thats horribly worse.
