Im about to buy a new sound card.
i thought in sb live value.

Is a good card?
I have a amd k6-2 350 and do mostly winNT.

Since you said you do mostly Windows NT, that does not seem to imply a whole lot of multimedia. If you want a quality sound card that is very easy on the wallet, has great sound, and is compatible with Windows (all current flavors), Linux, and BeOS, then you can't go wrong with the Creative Ensoniq Audio PCI (es1371 chip). $29 retail in stores.
