Multilinking Modems

I am looking for info on using 2 56K modems to increase my bandwith and download speeds? which modems work best software needed and any other items needed.

Ive used to generic win modems with the multilink that is built into win98. It worked ok but it was nothing to brag about. maybe 50% faster than one modem. I eventually pulled the second modem to add a tv card.
