Emergency mouse upgrade (aim preferred) you suggestions please?

Today's the last day to get another $20 discount from BUY.COM! Since my USB Pilot is acting up in Q3 lately, I figured I'll get another USB mouse. (After selling my mouse to uncle for $10, my mouse upgrade will be almost free

Does the MS optical IntelliEye mouse really blow chunks in Quake? I initially really anticipated getting it (I thought, no mouseball=hover sniping?), but I've just seen a review and...they said it sucks bigtime for FPS control.

The other choice is Logitech MouseMan+ USB with its four buttons and scrollwheel. It isn't optical but its mouseball should grip to my EverGlide pad. I'm used to my lightweight Pilot, will this heavier mouse be responsive enough for fast spin/firing?

I'm very confused by now, and appreciate you help.

Im mosly a halflife - Teamfortress Classic sniper when im playing games. I use the Mouseman+ USB and its great for making heads pop http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif. The scroll wheel isnt the best. (sometimes it regesters 1 scroll click as 2. (maybe mines just broke, im not sure).

Great control and very easy to use for gaming, and desktop management. Make sure your a righty.
Its a pretty large mouse so it may take some getting used to, but once you do, youll never go back to a small mouse!
