I think the DHTML content of IE5 doesn't get along with Glide. I had no problems ever with the V2's until I instaalled IE5. I ended up with quirks, sometimes it would work, Q2 would start fine, other times it wouldn't, Q2 would default to software and RUNDLL32 would lock any video settings up afterward. I would have to s/d and reboot to make the sys respond again.
I've had no problems using the TNT in default OpenGl mode, but the V2's are faster and play smoother.
Ive tried:
Rebooting
Reloading drivers
Reloading Q2
Reloading OS
TWICE!
Ive never had problems until I loaded the IE5, but I didnt put the correlation together until after I loaded IE5 again after a fresh OS install.
