I was given an old Gateway Pentium 133Mhz computer minus the CMOS battery. Anyway I cannot even boot to a bootdisk It asks me...

Press <F1> to Setup, <Esc> to boot

whichever I try it asks for a password:

Password (1):

Is it wanting the CMOS password, if so I do not know it. I don't even know what type of Mobo it is, and have searched everywhere on the board for a CMOS jumper to reset, haven't found anything.

Can anyone help me??????

I looked on the Gateway site but the don't seem to offer any support for their legacy systems. Does anyone know where I can look on the board to find the manufacturer of the board, I found the S/N, but nothing else....

Any help is appreciated.....

Gary
