okay i sent this thing off for an rma. 3 weeks later is get it back saying there was nothing wrong with it. so i get the same motherboard back yesterday and i decided to give it another shot. i plug the pws into the mb and whe i flip the button on in the back for the power supply the computer turns on. (the heat sink fans and motherboard light are going) i get no video still i don't have the button from the case to the board attach. why the hell is the fan and the motherboard light on!!! all the jumpers are set correctly. i thought when you flip the switch on the back the computer lights on for a second and then turns off i have an a7pro. they sent a letter back saying to check my ram, video card, and pws. i feel like im getting the run around with the same sh!tty board.

Have you tried another cpu or your cpu in another board?? are the edges of the core "buffed" or scratched or cut up in any way?
if it is scratched or cut up or "buffed" as iam stating you probably have a damaged cpu.

I just (earlier today) got a P3V4X back from them. No problem (couldn't reproduce), but as soon as I put it all back together, the RAM is still having problems. And to top it all off, they lost my Slot-1 CPU retention arms.

Try and isolate the board from the case, you may have a short. ( it just happened to me two weeks ago)

okay i fixed the problem with the power supply coming on with i flipped the back panel. i unplugged everything left the power cord off the power supply then plugg the power supply into the mb. now the problem i have is the video won't turn on. i have an agp slot and i have tried two different cards in it. no luck then i tried a pci vid card still no luck. im kind of curious i have a 230 watt power supply and i was thinking it need more power. im thinking i need more pwer
asus a7pro mb
t-bird 900mhz
voodoo 3 3000
20 gig maxtor 72000 rpm with hd cooler
goldstar cd-rw
50 x cd rom
sound blaster live value
and a linksts network card.
am i asking to much from this powersupply? but then i don't think its the power supply becuase i just leave the video card plugged in and none of the other cards nor the IDE components and it still doesn't work. i was looking into getting a 300 watt

double check your case wires this will cause
your problem if they are not hooked up
correctly, nothing should turn on when you flip the power supply switch
