Depending on what screensaver it is that you want to use, can you not just drop a shortcut to the screensaver into the startup folder in the programs file from the start button. Some screensavers run when they are double clicked, if the one you want to run is of this type, then di the above. If not then you will have to look into the matter further, I will have a think about that.

Good luck, hope this works.

Why do you want to do this anyway?

I'm putting the final touches on my computer before I sell it and get my new one and the person buying it for his wife wants the screensaver to say Merry Christmas to his wife and on christmas morning when she starts it up...I just downloaded a screensaver off the internet and inserted some pics he gave me and the text and copied it into the startup folder...the pictures are in like a spinning cube...nice effect and I'm sure his wife will like it...

thanks..

why not just change the start up screen with your custom edit?

Have it say "Merry Christmas" *on* the startup picture.

Hey, I saw (heard) the tail end of something on Screen Savers yesterday that showed how to run a screen saver as your wallpaper. I'm going there now to see if I can get the skinny on it. I'll keep you posted.
