My dad is currently running Win2K on his laptop, which has 2 PCMCIA slots. One is taken up by a old SimpleTech 40MB ATA flash card. Under Win98se, it works fine, but under Win2K is doesnt even show up. So we found out that Win2K may mess with the I/O ranges a bit on certain peripherals or what-have-you. BUT he tried changing the I/O range to the recommended settings and he says he can't modify the entry. So how do you modify Win2ks hardware I/O ranges?
