I recently tried to load my SparQ on my system. It locked during installation (blue screen error). I manually turned off my system (HP PAV 8280, WIN 98). The Keyboard and Mouse have been locked ever since. My system seems to boot up normal, but no keyboard or mouse. I'm able to use both in safe mode. I was also able to load the external in safe mode. 98 conflict? Bad installation disc? Conflicting IRQ'S? HELP!!!

Is the Spar-Q a parallel or internal IDE. Did the HP come with a zip drive installed. If so you wouldn't be able to have both operate if the Spar is an internal IDE.
F.Y.I. Syquest is suspending operations. If the unit is new you may what to return it.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. I TOOK YOUR ADVICE AND RETURNED THE UNIT. I BOUGHT AN IOMEGA 250. RUNS PERFECT. THANKS AGAIN!!
