After putting my old HD as slave, I can't open my MS office I had on there, it says, I need windows installer to run it. What am I to do? Tahnks.

I'm guessing that the old drive was a fully fuctional/bootable drive? Office "needs" Windows to be running and is wanting it to be running off the old drive. It would be easiest to reinstall office on the new drive. There are programs available that will move it to the new drive.

I had a similar problem, but in your case, you do not need software to make it function. I am assuming your new hd is faster and bigger, and so you have installed Windows on it. I also assume it is labeled C: (and whatever other partitions you put on it). The easiest thing, as Steve states, is to reinstall MS Office. However, you can also merely move the MS Office folder from your old drive to the C:\ drive of your new hd.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you need to run the intall program to get the Office entries in the registry. If you did a clean install of the OS on the new drive, just moving the Office folder to the C:\ drive won't fix it.
