You can use the trusty old "undelete" file to fix that. I did the exact same thing and was able to boot up to an old MSDOS 6.22 diskette that I had and run the UNDELETE command. Here's what you need to do. Boot up to the boot diskette and then go to the directory where the MP3 was. Issue the LOCK command and then run UNDELETE *.MP3 and it will pop up the name of the file that you deleted and ask you to type the first letter of the file name to restore it. After this is finished issue the UNLOCK command and then restart and you should be good to go. I also have versions of UNDELETE for windows, let me know if you would like a copy so that you can just copy it to your WIN98 startup diskette and run it from there.

good luck!

What is this "lock" command you are talking about?
BTW, I´m still using Win95, but if it works on ´95 also, you can send it to lackmusboy@mail.bip.net.
Thanks!

I accidently deleted an mp3 from my hard-drive.
Is there any way to recreate that file?

If information hasn't been moved over top of the physical location on the drive where the mp3 was stored it's possible for an data recovory prog. or "un-erace" prog to retreive it. Most Utility suits (norton utilities ect.) have such a prog. I'm asumeing it's not simply in your bin.

The LOCK command gives you direct disk access. When you are running windows you are nbot performing any direct disk writes (for the most part), you are actually writing to the hard drive via VFAT. I will send you the file you want and the directions on how to use it. It won't be until later tonight though, I'm not getting off of work until late. Ahhh ... slaving away for the big M. *LOL*
