Hi,
Somehow a bookmark I had went south.
You entered the information from the internal
modem serial number, any other numbers
on the card and it gave you the manufacturer
and source for a possible driver and other info.
Tomorrow I'm going to look at this modem,
apparently the name is not readable or available.
Does anyone have this link?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
TIA.

Here ya go. This is the FCC ID number search page. Use the FCC number on the modem, motherboard, etc and this should help you find the manufacturer!

Another thing to try is to check the modem's internal registers. Go into hyperterminal and connect to the modem. then type ati1 and hit enter. Do the same for ati2, ati3, etc... This will give you a lot of info about the chipset, manufacturer, speeds supported, etc. The only problem is that the modem has to be installed and operating for this to work.
