IE 5.5 beta

IE 5.5 beta is now avalible. Seems stable so far.I downloaded it at. http://updates.zdnet.com/

Well I'm just checking back with you to see how your computer is running since you put 5.5 on yesterday ...

So far so good. It does not seem any different than IE 5.1 as far as I can see. Mabe just a little faster. Then again that could be because I bought a new fan and heatsink. I found out the other heatsink did not stay in contact.I now installed the right one. Also got a new mobo.
Oh I did find one bug. It does not seem to forward you after you make a post!

Jad,

You need to adjust your "Java" scripting from the HIGH setting (default) to that which is Meduim or low if you want the BBS to automatically foreward you. (you can leave the setting on HIGH and put the BBS's you visit in to the "trusted" sites listings as the "trusted sites the Java is set lower by default.

Mntsnow I checked and it is set a medium. I will try low or to trust this bbs. But I do think it is a bug in the beta. Are you also running IE 5.5? It worked fine before I installed 5.5.
Lets see if it works?

Ok added sysopt to trusted sites and guess what no change. It says trusted sites in the bottem right corner of the browser so I did it right. SO I guess it is a bug.

Yes it is bug that IE5.5 is having with "redirects" Right now I am using IE5.5 and Have lowered my java and scripting security levels to low and I am getting redirected about 80% of the time now http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif So It looks like I'm going to head on over to Microsoft and fill out a bug report http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif
