Hi,

I like the Promise UDMA controller (www.promise.com).
If I were you, I would wait for the Promise UDMA 66 controller. It is backward compatible...

if the price for an controller card is over $50, you might consider getting a whole new motherboard with ultra33 built in.

Thanks, am considering, but I have this drive is going into an old Dell "P:" mid-sized tower with an Intel FX chipset board. I've heard that these Dell boxes are proprietary and hard to find another Baby AT to fit. Good thought though.

Siig & Promise both make good cards, get em at BuyComp. Siig UltraPro is $47, has flash bios & works with CDroms. Promise Ultra33 is $20, has nonflashable bios & is mainly for HDDs. Neither
currently support LS-120...
