Have you double checked the bios to make sure "auto" is on for HD detection? Do you have backup?

Have you checked the Western Digital website?? They have a FAQ that has a number of questions/answers regarding issues similar to yours. Unfortunately, with all the different things you've already done, it might be hard to resolve this. How valuable is the data on the drive?? Sometimes its just easier to reformat and start over. After an EZ-BIOS foul up, it might even be necessary to low level format.

Just a tip from a user with similar problem.
Just reformatting your drive will not remove the ez-junk code. You're going to have to remove it with the ez-bios setup software THEN reformat. I'm trying to get Drive Image to work and discovered ez-junk on my slave drive. What a pain!
