hi im wondering how i would do a dual bootup

My suggestion would be that if you're venturing into the dual boot arena, you should get a product like Partition Magic; I think you will find it very useful. You should also get some software (a boot manager) that will enable the dual boot process. Partition Magic comes "bundled" with Boot Magic, which works quite well. I have also heard of System Commander, which many think is a great tool.

These are general guidelines: (1) Create two partitions. (2) Install Windows in the first partition. (3) Install the boot manager. (4) Install Slackware in the second partition.

Now, Slackware just may include the tools you need to create the second partition and may also include a boot manager; Red Hat Linux provides both of these tools. The Slackware doc should tell you, or you can just try installing it and see what happens.
