My mouse is starting to have a mind of it's own??? It will start to move all over the screen and highlight everything in it's path? I scanned for virus's and didn't come up with anything and even changed drivers and still no help. It just happened a few seconds ago AGAIN? It even effects my toolbar at the bottom. It becomes 3 times its size? Like I changed the size of it , but I didn't? Just did it again. I moved the mouse to the start button on the tool bar and it spun around the sreen and open up some link to disney???? Running ZoneAlarm, and Mcaffee. Hellllpppp?

Clean your mouse and ball, though doubtful that is the problem.

What OS?

Check the connection at the port.

Try another mouse...

not meaning to be rude or anything, but your problem is a bit meaningless as you have not said what mouse you are using. this may seem unimportant, but different mice behave differently under different circumstances. eg. i have had two intellimouse explorers fail (the lights go dodgy, flicker and the computer freezes, sometimes the light goes off, rendering it unusable, etc)
give us some more info plz.
cheers, dave

It was a generic 3 button mouse I picked up. Since, the first post I switched to an IntelliPoint and things seem to be running smoothly right now. What got me is how did the mouse move on it's own?
Thanks,

Ok Mcafee and Norton may have missed it! here what you can do. go to your C:\WINDOWS folder and look for a file named PATCH.EXE if you find it you have a trojan Horse Its name is.... NETBUS it allows for the person infecting you to control the mouse, also does it happen when your online? or offline and online?

hope this helps..
