Need Web Page Design Advise

I'm just starting to learn how to design web sites. What is the best setting? 800X600 or 1024X768? Apprecite any help and advise.

Go for 800x600 since it is the resolution most people use... 1024x768 is cool and let you put more stuff, but it will be hard to see for the other users.

You can make 2 pages one for each resolution and put an intro page to choose one... ofcourse this will be more work http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Design it to work in 800x 600. The trick is to make it look good in higher resolutions also. This is an important skill that I would advise learning early on. The more you experiment in this area the better designer you will be in the future.
