Webcam III video recording

The camera works great in all respects except video recording. It just won't do it. I realize that there are some USB issues with this camera and MVP3 chipsets on some motherboards, however the problem I'm experiencing is not one of the one's addressed in the camera's manual. I've e-mailed Creative & FIC (I have a VA503+ mobo)and have yet to get a reply. Just wondering if any of you people have had similiar problems and what you did about it, or if anybody knows of a good webcam site that might be able to help. Thanks.
