Does anyone know anything about this new virus going around? I heard the tailend of the story on the radio this morning. They said that a few big companies have shut down thier email so nobody can inadvertantly download it. From what I understand, it attacks your harddrive and bios that's about all I've heard on it.

It does not attack your harddrive or bios.It does access your address book and auto mail itself to upto 50 people in the book.this causes an overload on company mail servers causing them to crash.500 email accts. with 50 people in their address books within the same company=overload

I work for a large research corporation, and it brought down our system early Friday. By the time they shut down e-mail I already had six copies in my in-box.
