Just got a cordless mouse, and while it's good for desktop applications, it's not good for gaming...
You would think it would be good because it's less restrictive, but in an action game, I find the slight tug of the mouse cord actually helps with aiming...cordless is too light, and movements cause it to come off the mousing surface, throwing off any kind of aim you might have...
or maybe I just have to get used to it... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Less restriction.....sound like one of those things that takes awhile to get used to but once you do there's no going back.

Okay, I've used it for about a day, and I think I'm getting used to it...I've realized I can't grab it like I did my old Logitech First Mouse.
The one I bought is the Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse with wheel. It's a little palm heavy, but if I hold it delicately and let its own weight move itself, it handles well...
Guess it just took a little getting used to...

I've had the Logitech Cordless Wheel for a couple of months and still find that it's not as easy to handle as the corded. Never really thought about why, but like you say Andrew - it does seem like you have to hold it more lightly.

(she is...dont listen to these naysayers http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif and shes so COOL looking too, all gray and silver. I like mine if you cant tell).
Well you have to give kudos to M$ for putting together the coolest looking mouse with there E.T. bummed opti-mouse-thingamajig. They're comfy too, though too big for gameing....can you run two mice some how?....I guess two USB mice would do the trick. You could just plug the one you wanted in when you wanted it. I think I'll pick one of those up once it drops below the "insane for a mouse" barrier.
