I am using a BP6 motherboard with 3 sticks of 128mb SDRAM @ 100mhz. Just at the end of the POST I get this flashing message saying (and I quote)

"WARNING: SPD Not Found at DIMM(S) 3"

Does anyone know what means. My computer boots fine and Windows 2000 runs fine and it shows the proper amount of RAM in the contorl panel. I also ran Simtester and it didn't show any error messages.

Thanks.

"Serial Presence Detect (or SPD) information is stored inside of a special component on the memory module. The component is called an EEPROM. The information is read by the computer's BIOS during boot to tell the computer how to properly configure the memory controller for the memory modules that are installed in the system." Quote is courtesy of www.premiersystem.com (http://www.premiersystem.com) . Sounds like one of your modules is missing the PSD. I'd replace it with a better quality one now while the prices are low. In fact, check out aforementioned link- good deals on memory.
