ZiGGie justy 01-22-2001, 01:13 PM Yep, Latest version of SIS's own drivers for this mobo. Edit Sis 7018 sound drivers. [This message has been edited by justy (edited 01-22-2001).] Rat 01-22-2001, 02:46 PM Are you using n0n-amplified speakers? If so, there may be a jumper on the board to switch the sound output between amplified and no-amplified speakers. Rat... justy 01-22-2001, 03:28 PM No Joy. Good call, using non amplified speakers, only found one jumper with no description other than ( SPDIF ). Unknown to me. Shorted it anyway but no change. This is brand new out of the box, so I'm fairly confident it's something I'm doing wrong. All the best, Justy. justy 01-23-2001, 12:52 AM Hi guy's an gal's, Just built up a Jetway 630cn board. Onboard sound is enabled in the setups, and all drivers etc.. are loaded. Windows 98SE say's device is there and working, drivers okay. Volume control etc. not muted. No sound, did dork boy miss something??? All the best, Justy. P3 733, 128mb, SIS 630 chipset. justy 01-23-2001, 02:35 PM Found the fault, simple really. Missed the obvious, broken cable to the speaker at the connector. Tried new speakers and hey presto, sound. Silly me, Justy.
