My A drive (3.5" floppy) just stopped working one day. It isn't recognized by My Computer nor does it light up. Is there anything I can do to check to see if it's just dead or if there's an easy fix? Thanks.

Darvocet 01-23-2001, 12:43 AM Open the case and check that the power is plugged in correctly and that the cableing is also plugged in. If it is all normal or you reseat the cabling and the power plug and it still doesn't work take solace in the fact that floppy drives are for sale everywhere for $10 - $15. justy 01-23-2001, 12:44 AM What type of PC? Go into your CMOS settings, Prompt when you switch on the machine, something like; Hit F1, DEL to enter setups. Check in the standard Cmos Setups, that you have the A: drive set to 3.5inch 1.44MB drive. Post if you need more help, Justy. SysOpt.com
