Is there any program out there that allows you to password protect specific directories in win98?
Does win2k have that built in?

Pantion 12-10-1999, 07:24 AM Here is a link to www.winfiles.com (http://www.winfiles.com) for a bunch of apps and see which one you like: http://winfiles.cnet.com/apps/98/access-control.html As for W2K haven't been able to test it, but in NT and Linux you can change the access priviliges to folders and apps. so you'll be sure only you and the administrator will be able to open them. cyphen 12-11-1999, 12:03 AM without specific first hand knowledge of W2K, i would have to say that with a resounding 'yes', W2K will support directory and file specific protection as in NT4, as W2K is built off of NT source code.
