Is it just me?

Hey, is it just me, or is the Internet getting really slow this holiday season? Between three ISPs I have not been able to get a decent connection for two weeks now (AOL, a Local ISP [my good ISP], and NetZero). Could the e-shopping explosion really create this much of a drain on net? There, may not physically be long lines on the net, but in another sense the lines are still there, they just cause pages to load slow, and the servers to crash. I envy all of you who have high speed access...

i don' think it's just you man, uswest for my connection...i only have dialup since i live a few miles out of town.... it really bogs down sometimes and my max dwnld speed is okay but it sometimes lags back and times out...but 99.9% of the time i can download 20mb files in about 2.3hrs maybe +-15min...hehe http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif i download at about 1am so thats the only way i can get descent connection rates until the christmas thing is over with...

Yeah, latetly been really difficult to connect to either of my 2 ISP. Really busy or sluggish connection... and I mean sluggish with my 28.8 modem...

Watching the news tonight and they said that traffic to on-line retailer's this holiday season was up about 40% from last year. Looks like it's causing some traffic jams on the virtual highway. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I'm in Central CA and notice some slowing as well...not too bad yet but definitely stacking up out there.
