This is my first post on this board, although I have been lurking for many months. Lots of great tips and info to be found here. But I didn't find this answer.

I am completing a new build (Duron 700) and the MOBO (PC Chips)manual says it requires PC133 SDRAM. Unfortunately, I have ordered it, but it is on backorder. I have many sticks of PC100. Can I use it til my PC133 comes in, or will it cause problems with the MOBO or Processor? Thanks a ton!!

Welcome and yes go ahead and use the PC100. If you want to read more you can use the search feature, there have been many informative posts on the subject. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

You can also mix PC133, PC100 and PC66 SDRAM DIMMs with no problem! Just have in mind that the slowest stick sets the RAM speed. So mixing a PC66 with a PC100 stick will force your entire RAM to run at 66MHz!

Wow, thanks a bunch. This is always the place to go for help. Now I can have a party with just me and my new Duron!!
